Cruisin'

Let the music take your mind
Just release & you will find
You're gonna fly away
Glad you're going my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
The music is played for love,
Cruisin' is made for love
I love it when we're cruisin' together

Cruise with me baby
Cruise

In case you haven't guess yet...Jono and I are going on a CRUISE!! Jono has two weeks off work in September and we have been trying to decide what to do for the past 2 months. And tonight we officially booked our cruise to the Western Caribbean! We leave September 13th and we are very excited! The week before we are planning a road trip to Loa, Utah to visit Jono's sister, Sarah, and her family.

What? You don't know where Loa, Utah is?? Well let me tell you...you are missing out!

Can't wait for our fun vacations!

San Diego

Well, I just got back from the anniversary getaway in San Diego. We got to our hotel, Embassy Suites, around 8 pm and we relaxed, watched movies and drank Martinelli's. Monday Jono had to go to work. I joined him and his manager for lunch at Chili's and then I drove down to Old Town, San Diego. I LOVE walking around and window shopping through places like that. Throughout the day I bought two oil paintings (which I LOVE), a book by John Bytheway (tehe, a new book!), and two cute mugs from Crate and Barrel (cute mugs being my other weakness). Then I met Jono at the hotel when he got off work and he gave me 2 red roses and 2 cards (one was humorous and the other was thoughtful). We decided to go to dinner at Fleming's and we shared a filet mignon entree. It was delicious!! We got a box of fudge-like things from our waitress since it was our anniversary. When we got back to the hotel we watched some tv and relaxed while enjoying some of our favorite drinks...me with Martinelli's and Jono with his milk. It was a very fun and relaxing weekend and I am so glad I got to spend time with Jono on our anniversary. He is still down there working this week and is supposed to work next week there as well. I might have to make another visit :)

2 down.

FOREVER to go.

Tomorrow Jono and I will be married for 2 YEARS! I cannot believe how fast this is going. I have loved every day and I look forward to spending many more with Jono. He is such a great man and I am so in love with him.

I am blogging this now because tonight we are leaving for San Diego. Jono is working there next couple weeks so I am going down with him for a couple days so we can be together and we will go out to dinner tomorrow night.

Love you hunnnaayyyy!

Oceanside

Sunday night, August 2nd, we and the Barber Family (Jono's sister, Kimra and her family) drove down to Oceanside to stay at a friend's house. It was the start of Jono's week-long vacation and he was more than excited! Monday we went to the beach and had fun. The water was actually really nice and we had fun riding boogie boards in the waves.

Don't forget to scroll down to see more of our summer adventures!

Sea World

Last Tuesday, August 4th, the family all went to Sea World in San Diego. It was very hot but tons of fun! We got to see dolphins, sea lions, flamingos, and only a little bit of the Shamu show. The Shamu show ended up getting cancelled because the trainers couldn't get any of the whales to perform. How crazy is that?? They said it was the first time in ten years that this happened. Oh ya, and we also saw Sesame Street :) It was a pretty fun day and at the end we were all pooped (and sunburned!)

Huntington Beach

Last Friday the whole family went to Huntington Beach to roast some hot dogs and make some 'smores! They were delicious! The water was a little cold, but the fire helped keep us warm. After, we all went back to Jer's hotel room (which was just across the street) and we warmed up in the spa. Fun family time.

The Beach Club

Last Saturday we all went to the Beach Club in Rancho Santa Margarita. We enjoyed swimming and playing in the sand. Afterwards, Jono and I walked around the lake and looked at the fish, turtles, and ducks (I always forget my bread!).

Lake Mission Viejo

On Tuesday we went down and enjoyed Mission Viejo Lake. The water was nice and it was fun to sit and chat with everyone (sans Jono, he started work again). In the evening, we rented a party boat and cruised around the lake for an hour. Another fun day!

Playing Around

Here we are having fun at the Castleton's house during down time. Lot's of fun!

I admit it.

Yes, I have a problem. But I just can't help myself. I have a bad habit of buying new books when I have not even finished reading the ones I have already bought/are reading now. (And it drives Jono bonkers). If you have noticed I added a book list of the books Jono and I are currently reading and I keep telling myself to finish the books I have now and then get more. I have about 3 books that I bought within the last year that I have not even opened, at yet I continue to buy more!

While I was at the grocery store the other night, I happened to pass by the book section. And I have to confess that I love walking by and seeing what new books have been put out. (Sometimes I even go to Borders and spend hours walking around finding any books that catch my interest.) Anyway, after passing by I thought there was nothing new out...when this book caught my eye.

The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks. Yes, I know that none of Nicholas Sparks books end well but I couldn't resist. I have to know what is written on those pages! So I bought it and so far it is really good. And I have many many more books on my list to buy (including more Nicholas Sparks books). One day I'll get around to finishing all of them :)

Happy Reading!
