Month 8

My baby is growing much too quick.

• He is in size 9 and some 12 mo clothes and wears size 4 diapers.
• He eats solid foods three times a day and a bottle when he wakes up and goes down for naps. He loves to hold his own bottle and when he's done eating he will either play with it or chuck it across the room. We also give him small bites of our food--some he likes and some he doesn't. Sometimes he shudders when he tastes something he doesn't like and will immediately spit it back out.
• He still naps twice a day, morning for usually 2 hours and afternoon for 1 hour, and he is a champ sleeping through the night for about 11 hours. Later in the evening when he is tired he will give "kisses" and he will grab your face and plant one on you. It's pretty slobbery and will sometimes try to bite your face.
• When we put him down for bed at night he will lay in his pack n play (the crib is coming!) and sing himself to sleep.
• He still isn't crawling but he can pretty much get to where he wants to go by rolling and scooting. He has just started sitting up on his own from lying down.
• He has started using his pointer fingers when he sees or plays with things. He also likes touching the tip of his finger to ours and then bend at the joints to play.
• He has become quite the water bug. He loves water. We have spent some time at the beach, beach club and pool this summer and he loves it all. Kicking and splashing are his thing.
• He just started clapping the day he turned 8 months. He claps at anything that makes him happy--it's pretty cute.
• He loves watching other children play and run around him. He can't wait to get up and join them. One day bud.
• He has his two bottom teeth and he has been working on his top teeth.
• He recently started saying the "C" sound ("ca ca"), mostly when he sees the cats.
• On a side note, Will has become a LOT more interactive with his owl. I sat him next to it on the chair and the first thing he did was toss it over the side and then lean over to look at it. 

We sure do love our growing boy!
